For hearing aid practices

General medical software is built around a visit and a claim. A hearing aid practice runs on devices: what was fit and when, which warranty ends next, what is on the shelf at each clinic, which manufacturer actually pays, and which patient tested and has not decided yet. amplifyOMS was built in 2016 by a Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist running his own clinics, around the device lifecycle a dispensing practice manages.

See it in actionFor hearing instrument specialists, audiologists, and the owners who run both.

Generic medical software stops at the visit.

Most of a hearing aid practice's revenue and most of its patient relationship happen after the first appointment: the fitting, the follow-ups, the cleanings and repairs, the warranty, and the upgrade conversation four or five years later. A system built around visits and claims treats all of that as notes.

When the software does not hold the device lifecycle, the practice holds it somewhere else. Upgrade lists live in a spreadsheet, warranty dates in the manufacturer portal, inventory on a clipboard, and close rate in someone's head. amplifyOMS keeps all of it in the patient record and in the reports that read from it.

Device and warranty record

Each patient's hearing aids, fit date, and warranty end date live in the file, and they drive the warranty, cleaning, and upgrade follow-up.

Inventory

Stock on hand at each clinic, distribution across locations, and loaner history, with Inventory, Inventory Distribution, and Inventory Summary reports.

Every tier.

Invoicing and payments

Invoices, payments, returns, refunds due, and write-offs in one place. Card payments run through Square or iPOS Pays, and amplifyOMS takes no cut of the transaction.

Credit card processing from Professional.

Insurance

Insurance estimates, insurance payments, and insured-patient reporting, with appointments from third-party networks flagged so they report separately.

Insurance filing integration from Professional.

Noah and Noah ES

Patient data syncs with Noah, and Noah ES notes sync is a toggle. Fitting software stays where it is; the business side stays in amplifyOMS.

From Professional, 2 providers included per clinic.

QuickBooks Online

Invoices and payments import automatically, with bills, drafts, audit, and manual entry flagging, so the books match the practice.

Close rate, counted the same way every time.

Close rate in amplifyOMS is hearing aid sales divided by completed appointments marked as sales opportunities, over whatever date range you pick. A purchase counts once whether the patient bought one aid or two, so the number tells you how often patients say yes, not how many devices moved. Binaural rate and unit volume are separate reports.

Thirty sales from forty completed sales appointments is a 75 percent close rate. Nobody tallies it by hand, because each appointment type is marked as a sales opportunity or not when it is set up, and every booking inherits that.

Know which manufacturer and tech level actually pay.

Sales by Manufacturer shows the units, revenue, and gross margin each manufacturer line contributes. Sales by Tech Level shows the mix of technology tiers your team is fitting and the margin at each one. Commission and Gross Margin and Patient Purchases fill in the rest, and every report filters by Region, Clinic, or Provider.

amplifyOMS has no manufacturer equity and no payment processor ownership, so the reports have no reason to steer you toward anyone. They show what your own sales say.

The patients you already tested.

Most practices' best opportunity is already in the database. Patients who tested and did not purchase show up as a tested-not-treated list you can pull by date in a few clicks. Patients whose hearing aids reach the upgrade age you choose are flagged in the record.

On Premium, the Growth Engine works those lists for you: a tested-not-treated drip with rotating offers, an upgrade-eligible drip that starts at the point you set, and warranty reminders that go out before coverage ends.

From one clinic to many, on one system.

A single-location practice and a regional group run the same software. Every report, schedule, and patient list filters by Region, Clinic, or Provider, and pricing for additional clinics is published: 50 percent of the base tier for each additional full-time clinic and 25 percent for each part-time one.

Built by someone who still runs a hearing aid practice.

Dusty Potter, a Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist (NBC-HIS), built amplifyOMS in 2016 when the system he was running 22 clinics on would not load on his phone. He still runs his own practice on it every day. When a feature ships, it has already been used on real patients at a real front desk.

Questions hearing aid practice owners ask.

Does amplifyOMS work for hearing instrument specialists and audiologists?
Yes. Appointment types, services, and provider permissions are configured to your practice, so a dispensing-only practice and an audiology practice that also fits hearing aids each set it up for how they actually work.
Does it track hearing aid inventory across locations?
Yes, on every tier. Stock on hand, distribution across clinics, and loaner history are tracked, with Inventory, Inventory Distribution, and Inventory Summary reports.
Does amplifyOMS integrate with Noah?
Yes. Noah sync and Noah ES integration are included from the Professional tier, with 2 providers included per clinic and $25 per month for each additional provider.
Do you take a cut of hearing aid sales or card payments?
No. There is no revenue share and no transaction fee. Card payments run through Square or iPOS Pays at their rates, and amplifyOMS takes nothing from them.
Is amplifyOMS owned by or tied to a hearing aid manufacturer?
No. amplifyOMS has no manufacturer equity and no payment processor ownership. It is built and owned by a hearing care practice owner.
