Scheduling and online booking
Scheduling in amplifyOMS was built for hearing care. Every appointment type carries what the visit is, who can deliver it, and whether it is a sales opportunity. Online booking runs on your own website. Confirmations go out without anyone working a phone list. The provider's phone and the front desk see the same day.
A colored block on a calendar can't tell you what happened.
In most systems an appointment is a block of time with a label someone typed. "Hearing test," "HT," and "new pt eval" mean the same thing to the front desk and three different things to a report. So the questions an owner actually asks (how many tests turned into fittings this month, which clinic is filling its sales appointments, how many online bookings showed up) need someone to count by hand.
Online booking has the same problem from the patient's side. The button on most practice websites sends people to a third-party page that doesn't look like the practice, asks them to pick a provider they've never met, and drops the ad click that brought them there. The patient gets less confidence and the owner gets less data.
Appointment types are business objects, not colors.
Each appointment type in amplifyOMS is set up once and carries its meaning into every booking. A visit is classified the moment it lands on the schedule, so nobody has to tag it later.
What the visit is
A group, a length, and a patient-facing name and description, so the name your team uses and the name a patient reads online can differ.
Who delivers it
The providers who can perform it, and the hours each type is offered. A hearing aid fitting only shows up where a fitter is scheduled.
Sales opportunity
Flag the visits where a hearing aid decision happens. Close rate, pipeline, and tested-not-treated follow-up all read this flag.
Hearing test
Flag the visits that produce an audiogram, so hearing evaluation reminders know when a patient was last tested.
Third party
Flag visits that come through a third-party network, so they can be reported and followed up separately from your own patients.
A photo
Each type can carry an image for the online booking page, so a patient choosing a service sees something better than a list of words.
Because the classification happens at booking, the reports and the follow-up that depend on it are accurate without anyone remembering to update a field.
Availability is calculated, not guessed.
When the schedule offers a patient two openings on a Tuesday, that number comes from four things your team already maintains.
The clinic
Its hours, address, directions, phone number, and photo.
The provider
Hours by day and by clinic, split shifts, and date overrides for the week someone is out or covering another location.
The appointment type
Its length, the providers who deliver it, and the windows it is offered in.
The booking form
Which services and locations a given online form offers, plus a buffer of hidden availability and an advance-notice window, so a patient cannot book a slot your team cannot prepare for.
Change a provider's Thursday hours once and the front desk calendar, the online booking page, and the provider's phone all change with it.
Online booking that looks like your practice.
The amplifyOMS booking page is embedded on your own website, under your own domain and branding. Patients choose a service from cards that describe it in plain language, pick a location from real photos of your clinics (with tap-to-call and directions inside the flow), and see how many openings each day has before they choose one. Practices with several locations can let patients search by zip code or on a map.
You decide whether patients pick a provider or get the first one available, so a new patient is not held up choosing between names they don't know. Same-day booking is available if you want it and off if you don't.
When the booking is done, the patient lands on a thank-you page on your domain that keeps the Google click ID. An ad click can be traced to a booked appointment, and from there to a sale, instead of stopping at "someone clicked the booking button."
There is no limit on booking forms. A campaign landing page can have its own form with its own services, locations, promotion dates, tracking, and styling. Everything here is configuration, not custom development.

Confirmations without a phone list.
From the Growth tier up, appointment confirmations go out automatically by text and email. The patient replies to confirm and the reply lands on the appointment, so the front desk starts the morning knowing who is coming instead of spending it calling down a list.
On Premium, the Growth Engine handles what happens around the visit: hearing evaluation reminders when an audiogram ages past the threshold you set, three-month check-ins after a fitting, cleaning reminders, and warranty notices before coverage ends.
One schedule, everywhere it needs to be.
Google Calendar syncs both ways. Appointments booked in amplifyOMS show up on Google Calendar, and changes made in Google Calendar show up in amplifyOMS. The provider checking a phone between patients sees what the front desk sees.
For telehealth visits, Zoom creates the meeting against the appointment and the link goes to the patient with the confirmation.
For practices with more than one clinic, the schedule filters by Region, Clinic, or Provider, and each role sees the slice of the schedule that matches its job.
After hours, requests wait for your team.
When a patient calls at 7:40 on a Saturday night, the AI receptionist answers, takes a name, a callback number, what they need, and when they can come in, and tells them your team will call to confirm.
It does not book the appointment. Nothing goes on your calendar until one of your people puts it there. That is a deliberate healthcare decision, not a missing feature.
- AI receptionistThanks for calling. The office is closed right now, but I can take down what you need and have the team call you back. Who am I speaking with?
- CallerI am calling for my husband. His hearing aids are about six years old and one of them quit.

Scheduling questions practice owners ask.
- Can patients book online from our own website?
- Yes, from the Professional tier up. The booking page embeds on your website under your domain and branding, and the thank-you page stays on your domain so ad clicks can be traced to booked appointments.
- Does amplifyOMS sync with Google Calendar?
- Yes, both ways. Appointments booked in amplifyOMS appear on Google Calendar and changes made in Google Calendar appear in amplifyOMS.
- Can we control which services, locations, and providers appear online?
- Yes. Each booking form chooses its own services and locations, and each appointment type sets which providers deliver it and when. You can let patients choose a provider or assign the first one available.
- Does the AI receptionist book appointments?
- No. It takes the request (name, callback number, what the patient needs, and when they can come in) and presents it to your team. A staff member books the appointment.
- Which tier includes automated confirmations?
- Automated appointment confirmations are included from the Growth tier ($149 per month per clinic). Online booking is included from Professional ($249). The calendar itself is on every tier, including Startup ($97).
See your schedule the way your patients will.
The walkthrough is about 25 minutes. We'll set up an appointment type, show how availability is calculated across clinics and providers, and book through the online booking page the way a patient would. Real product, not a sales tour.
